Job Tasks and Responsibilities
In this exciting period of growth, a number of opportunities exist at Moolarben Coal Operations to join our Underground team as an Electrical Tradesperson. Reporting to the Shift Area Leader (Undermanager), your responsibilities will include:
- To supervise the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of electrical plant and installations at the mine
- Monitor electrical equipment to ensure it remains in a fit for purpose and safe condition
- Operate machinery as part of a multi-skilled workforce
Skills and Experience
ESSENTIAL
- Underground Coal Mining experience
- Have the appropriate qualifications under the Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Regulation 2022 as qualified electrical tradesman
- A professional work ethic and the ability to strive for continuous improvement
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
- Experience with promoting a positive safety culture within the mine
- Sound planning, organisation and problem-solving skills
