Job Tasks and Responsibilities

We have a position available for a Mining Engineer at Moolarben Underground to join our Underground Technical Services Team. Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the preparation of Underground Mine Designs
• Input & Involvement into Mine Scheduling including Short Range Forecasts
• Identify and Lead Operational Improvement Projects
• Assist in the Operational Management of Ventilation and Ventilation Contractors

Skills and Experience

Our Essential Criteria

• Formal tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or Civil Engineering
• Experience in Underground Coal Mining is desirable
• A professional work ethic and the ability to strive for continuous improvement.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Experience with promoting a positive safety culture within the mine.
• Sound planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
