Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Join our vibrant team at Moolarben Coal Operations, where you'll be at the forefront of environmental stewardship and community engagement. As part of our dedicated team, you'll have the opportunity to make a tangible difference in preserving our natural environment while contributing to the success of our underground mining operations.

In this dynamic role, you'll work closely with the Environment and Community Superintendent to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and the management of over 7000 hectares of vital biodiversity offset areas. Your focus will be on protecting existing ecosystems and enhancing flora and fauna habitats through innovative regeneration and revegetation projects.

As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing the implementation of our Underground Mining Extraction Plans.

  • Assisting in the preparation of future plans.

  • Driving environmental projects forward through the development and execution of annual work programs.

  • Mentor and inspire your colleagues, fostering a culture of excellence..

  • Providing accurate environmental advice to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Overseeing environmental monitoring programs.

  • Managing contractors and consultants from scope preparation to project completion.

  • Preparing and reviewing technical environmental reports.

Skills and Experience

We're looking for individuals with a passion for environmental conservation and a strong commitment to excellence. If you have tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a keen attention to detail, we want to hear from you. Experience in a similar role within the mining industry is desirable, but not essential – what matters most is your dedication to making a positive impact.
