The Moolarben Coal Complex is located approximately 40 kilometres north of Mudgee in the Western Coalfields of New South Wales (NSW).
Operating 24 hours a day, the Moolarben Coal Complex comprises of open cut and underground mining areas.

 

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

 

In this exciting period of growth, Working with a dynamic team, you will be responsible to operate a variety of underground mining equipment safely and efficiently.

Reporting to the Longwall Engineer, the Longwall Electrical Coordinator will assist to effectively manage the longwall machine in a safe and efficient manner so the process operates safely and productively to deliver business targets.

  • Implementation of effective electrical maintenance system to ensure equipment downtime is minimized.
  • Review of all delays and implement corrective actions to improve availability.
  • Monitor compliance and standards of all longwall electrical equipment.

Skills and Experience

 

Essential Criteria

  • Electrical Trade Qualifications
  • High level knowledge of electrical aspects associated with operation, maintenance and overhaul of modern longwall mining equipment.
  • Sound knowledge of explosion protected electrical equipment.

Desirable Criteria

  • Mines Rescue trained
  • SAP maintenance system experience
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Electrical Engineering Qualifications
