Job Tasks and Responsibilities

The Health, Safety & Training (HST) Administration Assistant will administer the document control and records management requirements for Moolarben Coal Operations at the Open Cut site. 
Where appropriate, provide technical expertise, advice and coaching to Moolarben Coal on health, safety and training matters in line with the health, safety and training framework.  

The key responsibilities include:

  • Provide ongoing administrative support 

  • Daily capture/entry of information into INTELEX & Pegasus databases

  • Assist maintaining training bookings, room set up, paperwork, trainer and other communications are prepared, gathered, entered and stored/archived prior to and after each training session

  • Assist with raising and processing invoices and purchase orders

  • Minute taking and risk assessment participation

  • Order and purchase consumables

  • Assist contractors as required

  • Maintain exceptional time management and organisational skills, with a keen eye for detail

Skills and Experience

  • Previous administrative experience in role. 
  • Excellent planning, coordination and communication skills. 
  • Ability to source and analyse data to facilitate management decision making.
  • Very good interpersonal skills, including excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Sound organisational skills.
  • Awareness of statutory laws and regulations governing open cut/underground mines.
  • Current drivers licence

Desirable:

  • Certificate III or IV in Business administration
  • Experience in office environment (Health, Safety & Training)
  • Experience and qualifications in internal auditing
  • Experience and qualifications in return to work coordination & injury rehabilitation
  • Drug & Alcohol testing qualifications
