Job Tasks and Responsibilities

In this exciting period of growth, a number of opportunities exist at Moolarben Coal Operations to join our Underground team as an Electrical Tradesman. Reporting to the Shift Area Leader (Undermanager), your responsibilities will include:

  • To supervise the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of electrical plant and installations at the mine.
  • Monitor electrical equipment to ensure it remains in a fit for purpose and safe condition.
  • Operate machinery as part of a multi-skilled workforce.

Skills and Experience

Our Essential Criteria

  • Underground Coal Mining experience.
  • Electrical Supervisors License.
  • A professional work ethic and the ability to strive for continuous improvement.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Experience with promoting a positive safety culture within the mine.
  • Sound planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.

Desirable Criteria

  • EEHA  Training
  • High Voltage Training
