Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Development Coordinator will work closely with the Development Engineering team to effectively Co-Ordinate all Development operational activities including panel relocations.
- Identifying & implementing training requirements for the crews concerning all areas of development activities to achieve the budget or forecast metres of drivage
- Accurate forecasting and planning to meet development targets
- Driving process enhancements for development panel operations
- Maintaining efficient operational systems and standards
- Maintaining & enforcing operational automation systems & standards
Skills and Experience
Qualifications:
- Statuary Mining qualifications (minimum of Deputies Certificate and current Practicing certificate)
- Mechanical Engineering (desired but not essential)
- Project Management (Minimum of TAFE Certificate IV Project Management or equivalent)
- Current Drivers Licence
- Risk Management Training, (Minimum of G2 level)
- Business Management (Desired but Not Essential)
Essential Criteria:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Underground coal mining working in Development panels as a deputy.
- Experience managing Relocation and Installation of development equipment
- Experience and sound knowledge of development equipment engineering maintenance systems
- Experience and sound knowledge of development production systems.
Skills:
- Excellent planning, coordination & Communication skills.
- Extensive knowledge of NSW underground mining legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Ability to source and analyse data to facilitate management decision making.
- Very good interpersonal skills, including excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to practice and promote Yancoal Values.
- Sound organisational skills.
