Contracts Advisor

Based on site at Moolarben Coal Operations and reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be a part of the Complex team and supporting our Open Cut and Underground Operations. Partnering with the operational departments, you will assist Contract Owners with understanding their contracts, monitoring performance and ensuring that the Company performs its obligations.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Maintain site contract registers and databases.
  • Ensure all contracts and preferred vendors have contract owners, including coaching and training of Yancoal process to contract owners.
  • Ensure distribution of key contract management plans and information are provided to contract owners.
  • Reviewing compliance against contract management plans and obligation checklists.
  • Ensuring contract key dates are met.
  • Preparation of contract notices.
  • Supporting quarterly contract management meetings with suppliers/contractors.
  • Assisting group Procurement function and site teams with administering tendering, evaluation and award of contracts.

Skills and Experience

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in business or similar - desired
  • 1-2 years' experience in a similar position
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • Well developed interpersonal skills, a flexible attitude and sound work ethic
  • Well organised and confident in handling a substantial workload and conflicting priorities
