Job Tasks and Responsibilities

A rare opportunity to join the Projects team based at Moolarben Coal Operations. This role offers a unique chance to contribute to key civil and earthworks projects that are critical to our operational success.

As Project Superintendent, you will play a pivotal role in managing civil construction and earthworks projects from concept through to handover, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, cost, schedule, and risk management requirements.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Provide support to the Projects Manager in the leadership and coordination of the Project team.
  • Lead and Champion project lifecycle management, including procurement, commercial and contractual governance;
  • Take ownership of the key project pillars including safety, quality, cost, schedule and risk management;
  • Lead and monitor compliance with the Environment management standards.
  • Rewview engineering designs and oversee the development and execution of key project plans such as: Constructability, Quality management plans, Contractor Management plans and Procurement Management plans.
  • Oversee construction delivery, ensuring all quality documentation meets compliance standards.  

Skills and Experience

What we're looking for

  • Strong background in Civil construction;
  • Proven leadership ability with a calm, considered and respectful approach;
  • Exceptional communication skills to clearly communicate plans and engage with teams, stakeholders and contractors;
  • A positive, ‘can do’ mindset with a holistic approach to problem solving and constraint resolution;
  • A collaborative approach to our contracting partner management;
  • Understanding of, or willingness to learn, the management of re-measurable quantity x rate contract engagements;
  • The ability to work a Monday – Friday roster.
