Job Tasks and Responsibilities
The Electrical Technician will work to install, commission, overhaul and maintain electrical infrastructure at the Coal Handling Preparation Plant. Reporting to the CHPP Electrical Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be the inspection and maintenance of the CHPP electrical infrastructure. On a daily basis you will undertake equipment inspections, manage maintenance and improvements and assist with installations while ensuring a safe work environment is maintained through demonstrated commitment to safe behaviours.
Skills and Experience
Essential Criteria:
- Electrical trade qualification
- NSW qualified supervisors certificate or NSW contractor’s license
- Class C Drivers Licence
- Proven CHPP or other heavy industry experience
- Dedicated to maintaining safe work practices
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Sound problem-solving and computer skills
- Ability and desire to work well within a multi skilled team and autonomously
Desirable Criteria:
- High Voltage Training
- High Risk Work Licenses
- PLC Training/Experience
- EEHA Training
