Reporting to the Group Manager – HR Business Partnering, you will develop influential relationships with business stakeholders

What does your daily life look like at Yancoal?
As a Senior HR Advisor will work closely and develop influential relationships with our corporate business stakeholders, to deliver life-cycle people events and provide advice and support to corporate leaders on a variety of HR matters.
Your responsibilities include:
- Support HR benefits initiatives e.g. maintain benefits register for corporate employees, promote benefits webinars and events.
- Support leadership and culture initiatives e.g. support engagement survey communication and employee award nomination processes etc.
- Support talent initiatives e.g. annual succession and high potential identification and other training programs.
- Provide advice and support to managers on a variety of HR matters including performance review and HR policies.
- Support management of performance related issues. follow up with managers and employees to ensure completion of performance review and development processes.
- Support investigations into misconduct and other workplace issues.
- Partner with Recruitment Coordinator and be able to complete recruitment process end to end with SF recruitment module.
- Drafting contracts and letters, managing probation review dates, contract end dates and following up with managers to confirm extensions.
- Arrange approvals for any change requests as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate data across all HRIS systems.
- Maintain employee data, position details and organisational chart in HR systems.
- Contribute to ensuring all activities undertaken by Corporate HR comply with relevant Acts, legislation and ethical standards.
What do you need to be successful in the position?
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or other relevant tertiary qualification.
Skills & Experience:
- Relevant experience in generalist human resources management or HR business partnering roles.
- Experience with compiling data for reporting purposes.
- Experience with HRIS, preferably SAP and SuccessFactors.
- Strong understanding of the Australian employment legislation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to write professional documents.
- Strong computer skills including the full Microsoft Suite, especially Excel.
