Blackwater: Blackwater is a rural town and locality in the Central Highlands Region, Queensland, Australia. It is a town in a significant coal mining area in Central Queensland. The name of the township was inspired by the dark colour of local waterholes. A Mining town where generally everyone looks out for each other.

 

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager Title, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team. The role will require you to:

  • Ensuring integrity and accuracy of all captured data within the fleet management system
  • Effectively communicating with key stakeholders to ensure efficient operation during the shift
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting any problems with the fleet management system on a shift-to-shift basis
  • Lead by demonstrating behaviour that supports and meets the safety and production standards of Yancoal

Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria:

  • Sound verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled in hazard identification and responsive to safety issues
  • Basic computer skills word processing and spread sheeting
  • Thorough understanding of individual responsibilities in relation to the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act and associated regulations.

Desirable Criteria:

  • S1, S2, S3 and G2 (highly desirable)
