Yarrabee Coal Company a wholly owned subsidiary of Yancoal Australia, based in Blackwater Queensland only 2 hour drive west of Rockhampton.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Dispatch Coordinator to join our Mining Team.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team.
The role will require you to:

  • Be responsible for the allocation and optimisation of the mining fleet to assist in exceeding targeted rates
  • Coordinate mining and maintenance teams to minimise any interruptions to production and optimise fleet allocation
  • Collect and validate data to ensure records and reporting accuracy
  • Promote and maintain a high level of positive safety performance & workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the Yancoal values.

    Roster: 7/7 Day/Night 12 hour shifts
     

Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria:

  • Advanced knowledge of Fleet Management Systems - Modular highly regarded
  • Previous proven dispatch and/or mine control experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • High level of computer literacy
  • Solution focussed with a logical aptitude toward prioritising competing tasks
  • Able to undertake work activities autonomously and in accordance with company standards
  • Working knowledge of the Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and associated regulations and how they pertain to individual obligations
  • Excellent knowledge of mining process & systems
  • Advanced understanding of the Haul Cycle & continuous improvement strategies

 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Current Standard 11
  • Supervisor competencies (S1,S2, S3 and G2)
