Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Reporting to the CHPP Manager, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team. The CHPP Supervisor is an experienced, qualified tradesperson possessing a consistently high level of safe operation and productive operation of CHPP and ancillary equipment. Knowledge of coal analysis and elimination of problems or faults associated with CHPPs able to operate the plant efficiently, diagnose, faults, service and repair without supervision. Monitors performance of team members, plant & equipment & keeps abreast of any shifts in the operating environment.

Skills and Experience

Skills

Sound communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
Basic computer literacy.
Ability to self-manage and prioritise work load.
Ability to exercise initiative and work both independently and co-operatively as required.
Skilled in hazard identification and responsive to safety issues.


Knowledge
Thorough understanding of individual responsibilities in relation to the Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and associated regulations.
Sound understanding of risk awareness, hazard identification and a strong commitment to safety performance.
Well-developed knowledge of equipment maintenance practices.


Experience
Previous experience in the electrical repair and maintenance of plant and machinery within a mining or heavy industry environment.
Previous experience in the supervision of staff within a mining or heavy industry environment.
Experienced at prioritising tasks and allocation of same to crew members.


Qualifications
Current or willing to obtain Supervisor competencies (S1,S2, S3 and G2)
Current Standard 11 Mine Induction (Surface)
Current Queensland Driver’s licence
Trade Qualification
