Job Tasks and Responsibilities
The CHPP Operator is an experienced qualified operator who assists with the daily operations of the CHPP and ancillary equipment in a safe manner.
This includes but not limited to operations of Heavy Mobile Equipment, coal analysis, diagnostic of faults and assisting with maintenance servicing and repairs of plant and equipment.
Skills and Experience
Skills
Trade Qualified
Heavy and light Mobile equipment
Sound verbal and written communication
Analytical and problem solving skills
Skilled in hazard identification and responsive to safety issues
Basic computer literacy – able to use MS Office suite of programs
SAP Maintenance Management Software
Knowledge
Thorough understanding of individual responsibilities in relation to the Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and associated regulations
Sound understanding of hazard identification
Experience
Previous experience in the safe operation and general maintenance of CHPP plant and machinery within a mining or heavy industry environment.
