Cameby Downs is a small open‑cut thermal coal mine located in the Surat Basin of southern Queensland, between Chinchilla and Miles. Managed by Yancoal, the site employs around 260 people who are committed to a strong culture of teamwork and collaboration. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our dynamic team, where innovation and excellence work hand in hand.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Reporting to the CHPP Supertindenant & EEM , you will be a part of a small team and be required to assist with the CHPP and Infrastructure on breakdowns
- Maintain accurate daily reports
- Complete daily plant inspections
- Use plant PLC system (citect)
- Complete Statatory Electrical Inspections
- Electrical project work
- Electrical installations
- Load trains and monitor citect system
Skills and Experience
- Experience maintaining industrial fixed plant is essential
- Experience working safely in an industrial environment
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Good computer literacy
- Flexibility to change as priorities change
- Good teamwork in a small team environment
- Relevant industrial electrical trade qualifications
- Current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
- Standard 11 induction - advantageous
- Split System AC Installlation - advantageous
- EEM Qualifications - advantageous
- RII's for operating loaders and dozers - advantageous
