MAINTENANCE SUPPORT - FIELD

The Field Team at Yancoal MTW is currently seeking an organised and proactive Maintenance Support to join our team on a Fulltime basis.

Owned and Operated by Yancoal Australia, Mount Thorley Warkworth (MTW) is an open cut mine that provides the opportunity to live and work locally. Located 15 kilometres south-west of Singleton in the beautiful Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, MTW relies on both dragline and load haul systems for their continuous operations. The MTW Mine is the largest open cut operation in the region, employing approximately 1,450 people who reside in the local and surrounding communities.

 

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator and working a Monday – Friday roster, this role will be responsible for:
•    Providing administration-based support to the Maintenance leadership team to deliver quality maintenance which minimise rework and maximise equipment reliability for the operation;
•    Daily interactions with Warehouse function to ensure parts and major components are ordered and arrived in time to deliver a quality result;
•    Execute daily plans and minimise production losses through effective work processes;
•    Complete Parts management and parts return including consolidation of parts for job, reviewing the plan and allocated work;
•    Return and process all repairable parts;
•    Conduct analysis on returns/ unused parts ensuring documentation occurs to rectify ongoing issues.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in the role you will also display the following skills and attributes:

•    Relevant trade qualifications (Electrical or Mechanical and/or extensive Maintenance administration experience within a Mining Operation;)
•    Strong component and technical knowledge of maintenance equipment;
•    High Risk licences specifically a current Forklift Ticket;
•    Effective time management and prioritisation skills;
•    A solution focused approach to problem solving;
•    Proficient in the use of computer systems i.e. SAP, Microsoft office suite;
•    Experience in liaising with a variety of stakeholder including vendor management
•    Brings a can-do attitude and has demonstrated experience in having a positive impact on culture.
