Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Undermanager, your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Supervise the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of electrical plant and installations at the mine.
  • Monitor electrical equipment to ensure it remains in a fit for purpose and safe condition.
  • Operate machinery as part of a multi-skilled workforce.


 

Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria:

  • Underground Coal Mining experience - preferably previous Longwall experience.
  • Have the appropriate qualifications under the Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Regulation 2022 as qualified electrical tradesman.
  • A professional work ethic and the ability to strive for continuous improvement.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Experience with promoting a positive safety culture within the mine.
  • Sound planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.


 

Desirable Criteria:

  • EEHA  Training.
  • High Voltage Training.
