Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Undermanager, your responsibilities will include:
- Supervise the installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of electrical plant and installations at the mine.
- Monitor electrical equipment to ensure it remains in a fit for purpose and safe condition.
- Operate machinery as part of a multi-skilled workforce.
Skills and Experience
Essential Criteria:
- Underground Coal Mining experience - preferably previous Longwall experience.
- Have the appropriate qualifications under the Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Regulation 2022 as qualified electrical tradesman.
- A professional work ethic and the ability to strive for continuous improvement.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Experience with promoting a positive safety culture within the mine.
- Sound planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Criteria:
- EEHA Training.
- High Voltage Training.
