Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Stratford Coal are seeking skilled and experienced Mining Operators to join the team. Reporting to the relevant Statutory Supervisor, and working a rotating dayshift and afternoon shift roster pattern (Monday-Friday only), you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mining equipment supporting the planned mine closure works.

To be successful in the role you will also display the following skills and attributes:

  • Experience in the operation of large mining fleets such as haul trucks, dozers, excavators, graders and ancillary equipment in an open cut coal mining environment;
  • A proven track record with regard to safe and productive operating practices including operating for reliability;
  • Ability to meet the requirements of this role with regard to shift work and fitness for work;
  • A positive and proactive attitude;
  • Current NSW Manual Driver’s license.
