Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Reporting to the General Manager, Technology (IT/OT), Cyber & Data, the Manager, Digital Operations & AI is accountable for the ICT infrastructure, AI deployment and design, onsite ICT services, service desk delivery, networks, end-user computing and the support of mine site related technologies as directed. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leading the delivery of critical Technology infrastructure across the business.
- Leading a highly skilled and successful country wide team
- Providing input to the technology strategy to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide goals and deliverables.
- Managing networks, service desk, storage, servers, cloud, end-user computing and onsite technology support.
- Owning and executing the enterprise AI roadmap.
- Enabling safe, governed and practical AI adoption across the organisation.
- Designing and deploying fit-for-purpose technology solutions.
- Supporting mining technology rollout and operational reliability at site where directed.
- Managing budgets, vendors, procurement and service performance.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, data, engineering or equivalent.
- Additional formal qualifications or certifications in AI, data analytics, and technology management will be highly regarded.
- Five or more years of leadership responsibilities focusing on technology.
- Five or more years in delivering technology solutions to mining or other closely related heavy industry.
- Experience supporting business change, education and adoption of new technology capabilities.
