Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Yancoal's Moolarben site is currently seeking an experienced and passionate Maintenance Coordinator to join our team on a fulltime basis. Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team responsible for providing leadership and direction to the workforce through coordinating maintenance activities.  In this role, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Pro-actively leading a diversified Maintenance team responsible for the availability and reliability of equipment to ensure production targets are met
  • Ensure that the schedule of maintenance activities is on track and provide guidance to Supervisors on any corrective actions required to ensure optimum safety and productivity is achieved
  • Ensure consistency and work quality in team outputs is achieved through leading Supervisors with clear objectives and expectations

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will be an individual that can work in a fast paced and changing environment with strong problem-solving skills. A hands-on approach is key to the success of this role. You will hold the following essential qualifications/skills:

 

  • Trade qualification or Tertiary education in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in leading and mentoring a multifaceted team with a complex heavy industry environment
  • Passionate about driving team capability and delivering goals
  • Ability to coach on the run and be the driver of cultural change
  • Ability to communicate and liaise effectively across a variety of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and adapt to the challenges within a fast paced, large open pit mining environment
