Job Tasks and Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Employee Relations Advisor to join our Human Resources team. Reporting to the HR Manager, this role will provide specialist employee and industrial relations support across the operation, partnering closely with leaders to deliver practical workplace solutions and ensure compliance with employment legislation, enterprise agreements, and company policies. Some key responsibilities will include: 

 

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to leaders on complex employee relations matters, ensuring balanced and commercially sound outcomes.
  • Conduct and lead workplace investigations, including coordinating processes, analysing evidence, preparing reports, and delivering clear findings and recommendations.
  • Interpret and advise on employment legislation, modern awards, enterprise agreements, employment contracts, and company policies.
  • Support the management of industrial relations matters, including disputes and union-related issues.
  • Ensure organisational compliance with relevant employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act and other workplace obligations.
  • Contribute to and support enterprise agreement (EA) negotiations and related activities.
  • Manage workplace disputes and conflict resolution, fostering positive outcomes and workplace relationships.

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Employment Relations, Law, Business, or a related disciplinet;
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, industrial relations, human resources, or workplace relations;
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial relations frameworks;
  • Experience managing workplace investigations and complex employee relations matters;
  • Proven ability to interpret enterprise agreements, awards, and employment legislation.
