Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the enterprise technology strategy (IT, OT, cyber, data, and digital) aligned to business priorities and operational outcomes
  • Establish and enforce enterprise architecture, standards, and lifecycle management across corporate and site operations
  • Govern technology investment, portfolio prioritisation, and budgeting to maximise value, manage risk, and ensure compliance
  • Provide strategic advice and decision support to executive leadership and governance forums, including risk and audit committees
  • Lead enterprise cybersecurity strategy across IT and OT environments, ensuring robust governance, assurance, and operational resilience
  • Oversee incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity to protect production-critical systems and ensure operational readiness
  • Define and lead the IT/OT operating model, ensuring reliable, secure, and high-performing technology services across all sites
  • Drive service excellence through disciplined incident, problem, and change management, minimising disruption to operations
  • Own enterprise data strategy, governance, and analytics enablement to support data-driven decision-making and performance improvement
  • Establish and embed practical AI governance frameworks aligned to business objectives and risk management requirements
  • Sponsor and govern major digital, technology, and automation programs, ensuring successful delivery and realisation of business value
  • Lead commercial, vendor, and partner management, including performance, risk, and security obligations across the technology ecosystem
  • Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement


 

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline (MBA or equivalent desirable)
  • 15+ years’ experience in senior technology roles, including 10+ years leading IT and/or OT teams
  • Proven accountability for large budgets and delivery of major transformation programs
  • Experience in mining or other complex, asset-intensive industries strongly preferred
  • Extensive leadership across enterprise IT and OT governance frameworks
  • Strong operating model design and execution capability
  • Cybersecurity leadership with a governance focus and demonstrated delivery of resilient operational outcomes
  • Strong commercial acumen with expertise in vendor management, including security-by-contract and supply chain assurance
  • Experience in program and portfolio governance, including benefits realisation
  • Data governance and analytics enablement experience
  • Practical experience implementing AI governance frameworks
