Job Tasks and Responsibilities

The Communications Technician is accountable for the reliability of production monitoring systems, 2-way and wireless communication, environmental and water management stations and fixed surveillance cameras. As a member of the Electrical & Infrastructure team, this role will contribute to achieving targets and building an inclusive safety culture. Duties will include:

 

  • Conduct fault diagnosis and triage assessments of faulty supported systems using all available tools
  • Adhere to timeframes and targets for repairs and including scheduled repairs and maintenance
  • Ensure repairs and workmanship meets site expectations and complies with site specification, industry best practice and MDG15 installation guidelines
  • Actively contribute to a safe work environment through compliance to all Moolarben policies and procedures

Skills and Experience

  • Telecommunications Technology and/or Electronics and Communications Certification
  • Experience in Guardvant Fatigue monitoring system, tyre sense, Fleet Management Systems, silent horn, Motorola DMR3
  • EWP HRW Licence
  • Work at Heights Accreditation
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Problem solving and attention to detail
  • Australian drivers licence
