UG Development Coordinator

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

The Development Co-Ordinator is accountable for all operational systems and standards required to support the Moolarben Development kits and panels. This includes maintaining efficient operational systems and standards, maintaining, and enforcing operational automation systems and standards, identifying, and implementing training requirements for the crews concerning all areas of development activities to achieve the budget or forecast metres of drivage for the Mine.

This role will work closely with the Development Engineering team to ensure efficient high-quality planning is developed and executed whilst maintaining engineering maintenance and operational systems and standards at MCO. The position also requires and understanding of operational costing for budgeting purposes and as well as project management for the relocation of development panels.

Skills and Experience


  • Statutory Mining qualifications (minimum of Deputies Certificate and current Practicing certificate)

  • Project Management (Minimum of TAFE Certificate IV Project Management or equivalent)

  • Current First Aid Certificate

  • Current Drivers Licence

  • Risk Management Training, (Minimum of G2 level)

  • Business Management (Desired but Not Essential)


  •  Minimum 5 years’ experience in Underground coalmining working in Development panels as a deputy.

  •  Experience managing Relocation and Installation of of Development equipment

  •  Experience and sound knowledge of Development equipment Automation systems

  •  Experience and sound knowledge of Development equipment engineering maintenance systems

  •  Experience and sound knowledge of Development production systems.
