Open Cut Health Safety & Training Coordinator

Location: Mudgee, NSW 2850

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Reporting to the OC HST Superintendent, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team. Based on site at Moolarben Coal Operations, the role will require you to:

  • Provide technical expertise, advice and coaching in all matters relating to health, safety and training in line with the Companies Health Safety Management System, training framework and relevant legislation.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of training packages, coordinate all site training initiatives, maintaining training and competency records and assist with induction management.
  • Audit employee and contractor safety, oversee injury management and rehabilitation for injured personnel and assist with the development of the Departments operating and budgetary plans.
  • Complete and forward notifications of health and safety matters to the relevant governing bodies.
Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria:

  • Tertiary qualifications in OHS/Training
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment.
  • Experience in return to work coordination.
  • High level of proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Previous experience in a HST role within the heavy industry sector.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
