Cameby Downs is a small open-cut thermal coal mine in the Surat Basin of southern Queensland, Managed by Yancoal and positioned between Chinchilla and Miles. Job Tasks and Responsibilities

We are seeking skilled operators proficient in various types of equipment, including dump trucks, graders, diggers, and dozers. Your role will involve ensuring the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery on-site, up and including operating of Haul Trucks, taking responsibility for your work area, and complying with all safety regulations. You will report to the Mining OCE/Supervisor and collaborate with a dedicated team.

Roster is 7:7 Rotating Day/Nights working 12.5hr Shifts

 

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as Haul Trucks, Dozers, Diggers and ancillary equipment
  • A demonstrated history of effective and secure operational practices
  • Understanding and adhering to your responsibilities in relation to the Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and associated regulations
  • Positive and proactive attitude 
  • Current QLD Drivers License 
  • Current Standard 11 Mine Induction (Surface)
  • Current QLD Coal Board Medical
