If you are looking for a new opportunity we are looking for a highly motivated Heath, Safety & Training Officer to join the team.

About the Role

Reporting to the HST Superintendent, the HST Officer is responsible for the general administration of Premier Coal HST systems and processes.
The role will provide effective administration support to the Health and Safety Department whilst assisting in the general compliance of the Premier Coal Safety & Health Management Systems, organise and book medicals as requested, update of HST documentation on site, and various other HST related tasks.

This position would suit a person who has experience in health and safety management systems; and prides themselves on being a quick learner, has excellent attention to detail, ability to meet reporting deadlines, experience of working in a fast paced environment and have a proactive attitude with the ability to multitask.


Roster: Monday to Friday

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Business Administration qualifications highly desirable
  • Vocational qualification or Diploma in an associated discipline or equivalent (preferred)
  • Maintain and Possess a current Driver’s licence
  • Experienced at prioritising tasks, following through to completion and showing flexibility when needed to accommodate employees/visitors entering site
  • Experienced in the provision of administrative support preferably within a Coal Mining Operation (highly desirable)
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated advanced computer literacy combined with the ability to quickly pick up new software programs
  • Sound understanding of risk awareness, hazard identification and a strong commitment to safety performance
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Able to complete a pre employment medical and background/reference checks
