Technical Services Superintendent

•    Responsible for the management and continuous improvement of the Mine Planning Team
•    A varied role allowing application to all aspects of the Technical Services department
•    Be based in Blackwater QLD

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

This position is responsible for:

  • The management and continuous improvement of Yarrabee’s Mine Planning team
  • Short to long term mine planning
  • Reconciliation
  • Production scheduling
  • Forecasts
  • Manage production reporting, financial forecasting, and budgeting specific to the Mine Planning application. 

Competencies

Skills
- Highly developed verbal & written communication skills
- Strong commercial acumen, sound financial management & budgeting skills
- Skilled in hazard identification & responsive to safety issues

- Competent on full range of Microsoft programs

Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering Qualifications in Mining Engineering or equivalent tertiary qualification
- Generic Surface Induction (Standard 11)

- Supervisor Competencies (S123 & G2)
- Senior First Aid Certificate
-Current QLD CBM
- Current open driver’s licence

Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role managing professional mining staff
- Proven ability to work with production personnel in an open cut truck & excavator mining environment
- Demonstrated understanding of Mine Planning application systems & how best to apply them to a complex mining environment
- Thorough understanding of the QLD Coal Mining Legislation & ensuring the workforce are meeting requirements
