We currently have an opportunity for a safety-focused Electrician to join the Yarrabee Team.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor you will be part of a small but motivated and dynamic team.
The successful Electrician will have proven ability and motivation to:
- Complete scheduled maintenance work orders across CHPP and Infrastructure equipment
- Diagnose and repair breakdowns including CHPP, Komatsu and Hitachi Fleets
- Maintain the plant efficiently including servicing and repairs without supervision
- Independently and co-operatively scope jobs, obtain quotes and order parts
- Use SAP competently (Highly regarded)
- Complete daily shift reporting
- Provide a quality handover to oncoming crew and tradespeople
- Be a positively mannered team player, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration with all departments
- Work as part of a small crew respectfully and efficiently
- Work to a high degree of proficiency & working knowledge of Yarrabee’s equipment/plant
- Provide leadership and coaching to the less experienced members of the Electrical Team
This role is pivotal in supporting the Electrical team in ensuring reliable electrical systems on site to allow for maximum machine availability and electrical safety across site.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this position you will hold the below qualifications & experience:
- Trade qualified and hold a current Electrical licence
- Mine Site experience - highly desirable
- Current C class manual drivers licence
- Standard 11 SOA or willing to obtain
- Extensive experience in fixed & mobile plant electrical maintenance
- Experience or a fast learner with work management software tools (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Office)
- Sound computer skills
- Thorough understanding of individual responsibilities in relation to the Coal Mining Safety & Health Act and associated regulations
