We are Australia’s largest pure-play coal producer generating over $10 billion in Foreign Direct Investment; owning, operating or participating in coal mines across NSW, Queensland and Western Australia. Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Crew Supervisor, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team. The role will requires you to be an experienced, qualified tradesperson who will develop a high degree of proficiency and working knowledge of Yarrabee’s equipment/plant. Must be able to operate the plant efficiently, diagnose, faults,fabricate and repair without supervision. The Boilermaker is also required to provide leadership and coaching to the less experienced members of the Maintenance Team.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Skills
- Sound communication skills
- Basic computer skills, word processing and spread sheeting
- Ability to self-manage and prioritise work load
- Ability to exercise initiative and work both independently and co-operatively as required
Knowledge
- Thorough understanding of individual responsibilities in relation to the Coal Mining Safety & Health Actand associated regulations
- Previous experience working on plant and machinery within a mining or heavy industry environment
- Previous experience in fabrication and repairs to boom, bucket and bodies across the mining fleet
Qualifications
- Trade qualified
- Applicable Coal Competencies
- Working at Heights and Confined Space (desirable)
- Current open drivers’ license
- Generic Surface Induction
