Graduate Program

Our Graduate Program is for recent university graduates looking to start their career in the resources sector. The program is open to graduates in the following disciplines: 

  • Mining Engineering
  • Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
  • Geology
  • Surveying
  • Environment and Community

The two-year rotational program provides exposure to exploration and other related activities across our open cut and underground mine sites.

Vacation Program 

Our tailored vacation program is targeted for students in their second or third year of study.

This program creates a great opportunity to get some exposure to the fascinating and complex operations within the Mining Industry and at Yancoal.

With a supportive team of leaders and mentors we will be there every step of the way to give you support and exposure in the Pit and Underground so you can get a head start your chosen career.


Cadetship Program

Our Cadetship Program is for current Year 12 high school students and recent high school graduates.

If you are considering a career in mining this is the perfect opportunity to kick start your experience and learn what it is all about. 

The program provides financial support, mentoring and valuable 'hands on' experience at our mine sites.
