Business Process Lead – HCM

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, Business Solutions, you will be part of a dynamic and motivated team. The Business Process Lead – HCM is responsible for providing expert support to all users of the SAP Human Resources, Payroll and Success Factors modules company wide.

The role will require you to:

  • Management of support calls with Yancoal Australia’s SAP support provider and being available to assist with the resolution of any issues.
  • Partner & work collaboratively with stakeholders and provide architectural leadership to the delivery of SAP solutions to HR & Payroll Business.
  • Translate business needs & business requirements into an efficient SAP Solution based on Industry best practice
  • Assist in the undertaking of cost-benefit analysis and feasibility studies for new or amended solution components. This should include detail estimates and required resources 
  • Ensure the vendor delivered services are according to the Statement of Work or agreed SLAs
  • Ensure that quality products and services are delivered by the vendors according to agreed timeframes.
  • Support the change management process when looking at making changes to existing functionality to improve business process.
  • Support the rollout of SAP Human Resources, Payroll and Success Factors modules to new businesses of Yancoal Australia.
  • To provide training services for key users of the SAP Human Resources, Payroll modules and supporting systems
  • Develop user procedures, guidelines, job aids and quick reference guides.

Skills and Experience


  • Degree qualified in the fields of Human Capital Management or IT discipline or SAP Certifications
  • Conceptual & functional understanding of application software and development methodology


  • Demonstrable experience in the implementation and support of SAP HR/Pay and Success Factors capabilities.
  • Demonstrable experience in managing multi-level stakeholders
  • Experience in workshop facilitation for requirements gathering and solutions playback
  • Experience in the development of staff competencies in HR/Pay & Success Factors.
  • Experience in managing vendor and service providers’ deliverables.


  • Demonstrated service orientation with excellent communication skills for understanding application problems and clearly explaining solutions.
