Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Yancoal MTW are seeking a passionate and innovative Offsite Repairs Coordinator to join our team on a fulltime basis. Reporting to the Maintenance (Planning and Reliability) Superintendent, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team. You will be responsible for:

  • Effectively coordinating the rotable and service exchange processes for the Maintenance team;
  • Overseeing the Yancoal Repair Process, focusing on repair management, vendor development and component failure management and avoidance;
  • Identifying opportunities and improvements that will assist in the safe and cost-effective operation of maintenance equipment;
  • Developing and fostering strong professional relationships;
  • Overseeing quality assurance and design to ensure that vendors adhere to site procedures and specifications;
  • Contributing to achieving plan on a page targets and building an inclusive safety culture that enhances the Yancoal – Our Way.

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will be an individual that can work in a fast paced and changing environment with strong stakeholder management skills. You will hold the following essential qualifications/skills:

  • Trade qualification or Tertiary education in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering;
  • Strong working knowledge of Heavy Mining Equipment;
  • Experience in maintenance management systems and procedures;
  • Excellent communication skills both oral & written;
  • Ability to communicate and liaise effectively across a variety of stakeholders;
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and adapt to the challenges within a fast paced, large open pit mining environment;
  • Strong understanding of Contractual Compliance and Deliverables;
  • Familiar with OEM Component Lifecycle Strategies.
