Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Yancoal MTW is seeking a motivated and results driven Maintenance Planner/ Scheduler to join the team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Planning Coordinator, your focus will be to ensure the fleet is maintained in a safe, reliable and cost-effective way that enables the business to achieve performance targets. Working closely with the engineering and maintenance execution teams, this pivotal role is responsible for:

•    Preparation and delivery of the weekly maintenance plan;
•    Identifying and pro-actively initiating maintenance improvement opportunities;
•    Providing technical support and advice to the operation; 
•    Managing work order data and maintenance documentation;
•    Controlling maintenance expenditure;
•    Interacting during execution events to continuously improve planning accuracy;
•    Proactively engage in safety improvement initiatives.

Skills and Experience

•    Relevant trade/diploma qualifications with a mechanical or electrical focus;
•    Demonstrated high level planning experience in a similar role within an Open Cut coal environment;
•    Drive and focus on continuous improvement;
•    High level of attention to detail; 
•    Strong computer literacy;
•    Experience in the use of SAP or any other CMMS is highly regarded;
•    Well-developed written and verbal communication skill;
•    Ability to work autonomously and within a large team environment;
•    The ability to build rapport and maintain relationships is crucial to the role combined with your excellent multi-tasking skills,         ability to prioritise and your practical approach.
