Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Are you looking to kick start your career in 2021, We are offering an excellent opportunity for a Surveying Graduate to join Yancoal’s Graduate Program commencing in 2021. The graduate program will be supervised and mentored by Yancoal’s Technical Support Team and will include the following key aspects:


• Participation in the program over a two (2) year period
• Rotational experience across our Open Cut and Underground mines in NSW and QLD
• Opportunity to build your knowledge from Registered Surveyors across the group
• Gaining a wide range of equipment and technology experience at different operating sites
• Gaining “hands on” experience at the coal face
• Gaining an understanding of Yancoal’s core work and relationships while being mentored by senior leaders.

Skills and Experience

You will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team. The role will require you to have:


• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solving ability and capacity to quickly learn on the job
• Well-developed demonstrable interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Enthusiasm to embrace a mixed field and office role
• Ability to be based in other regions or states as part of the graduate rotation
