Job Tasks and Responsibilities

At Moolarben Coal Operations, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to kick start your career in Mine Surveying. If you have a can-do attitude and a goal to develop a career as a Registered Mine Surveyor, then we have the perfect opportunity for you.

Reporting to the Underground Mine Surveyor, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team. The role will require you to provide assistance in survey control and planning services to the Registered Mine Surveyor of the Underground Mining Operation as you:

• Develop and update mining plans using the AutoCAD Civil 3D product.
• Operate survey instruments including Total Station, GPS and Level.
• Collect and process survey data to assist in preparation of plans, reports and other forms of spatial information.
• Contribute to the alignment of the underground roadways and setout major mine infrastructure

Skills and Experience

• Eligible to enrol in, currently enrolled in or recently completed a Spatial Science or Surveying degree.
• Very good interpersonal skills, including excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to solve problems
• A professional work ethic and the ability to strive for continuous improvement.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
