Owned by Yancoal, Yarrabee is based in Blackwater QLD which is 200 km west of the Capricorn Coast. Yarrabee is a proud producer of high-quality PCI coal since 1982. We employ approximately 400 people, who are our most valuable asset and we invest in developing our management and leadership talent throughout our operations.
Yancoal Australia is Australia's largest pure play coal producer. It boasts three tier one thermal coal mines in New South Wales together with interests in three other metallurgical and thermal coal mines located in New South Wales and Queensland. Yancoal Australia also manages five other Australian coal mines on behalf of related parties. Yancoal currently employs over 3,000 people across its operations.

About the Role
Reporting to the Mining Superintendent, this position will coordinate and instruct the mining crews in relation to daily operations and to achieve a high level of production in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring the safe and productive operation of plant and equipment.

- 7 On 7 Off Dayshift/Nightshift Roster
- Statutory Allowance of $20,000 p/a
About You
To be successful in this role you will be a high achieving and focused OCE with previous experience in a similar role. You are committed to driving a high performing and inclusive team.
Additionally you will hold the below competencies & experience;
- Current QLD OCE Certificate of Competency
- OCE’s Certificate of proficiency in mine gases and gas testing
- A minimum of 2 years OCE experience
- S1, S2, S3 & G2 qualifications
- RIIENV301A - Conduct atmospheric monitoring
- Current driver's licence
- Strong communication skills
- Previous extended experience in the operation and maintenance of plant and machinery within a mining or heavy industry environment
